Evening in Paradise BY CAROL ROBERTS, Vice Chargée de Presse ON APRIL 19, 2018, the West Palm Beach Bailliage was treated to a magnificent dinner at the famed Renato's Palm Beach restaurant. Nestled in a charming space off Worth Avenue, Renato's has been a revered Palm Beach dining fixture for more than thirty years. A light breeze and starlit sky made it a perfect evening for an outdoor reception. Attendees enjoyed abundant caviar and blini while socializ- ing on the patio. The chapter's esteemed Vice Echanson Douglas Martin donated the caviar—a gift that was much appreciated by all in attendance. Confrères were delighted to have Chef Hubert Des Marais of the Hawaii Island Chapter as their guest of honor. Another treat was an impromptu musical performance by opera singer Chevalier Daniel Bouaziz, who serenaded Bailli Leila Warren. Served in Renato's elegant dining room, the meal was a symphony of flavors and colors, with each course matched with an exquisite wine. While all of the prepa- rations were delicious, a standout was the lobster risotto. Impressed attendees showed their appreciation with a boisterous ovation at the end of the meal, which show- cased the attributes that have made Renato's a standout for decades.
