Alfresco Dinner on the Terrace BY LAURA WALSH, Far West Chargée de Presse Provincial Honoraire PALM SPRINGS BAILLIAGE members enjoyed an alfresco dinner against the backdrop of lush greens, sparkling lakes, and the Santa Rosa Mountains on the lovely evening of April 23. The venue was the magnifi- cent Desert Willow Golf Resort in Palm Desert. The evening commenced with a reception on the sce- nic clubhouse patio. Attendees then moved to the Firecliff Dining Room for the ceremony in which Chevalier Sheldon Andrew was inducted and Vice Chargée de Médias Sociaux Vangie Reckard and Chargée de Presse Provincial Laura Walsh were elevated. Following the formal portion of the evening, the group enjoyed a delicious six-course dinner in the Terrace restaurant. As the course website details, through strategic planning, the City of Palm Desert was able to develop a public golf course in a place of prominence amid a valley of more than 125 golf courses, some among the top-rated courses nationwide. The City of Palm Desert's plan for the Desert Willow Golf Resort embraced the picturesque desert landscape and continued the importance of design details into the clubhouse and mile-long approach, the result being a wonderful venue at which to golf, dine, or host a special event.
