BY MELISSA P. DANIEL, Vice Chargée de Presse THE JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI Bailliage once again chose the historic Fairview Inn as the venue for its induction dinner. On January 20, 2018, a record number (fifty- two!) of confrères gathered at the Colonial Revival-style mansion. Executive Chef Corey Ellison prepared the delicious dinner, and Co-Owner Peter Sharp made sure that the evening unfolded seamlessly. The Fairview is an exemplar of Southern hospitality and ele- gance, making it the perfect setting for this important occasion. Vice Echanson Elliott Haller, who was elevated at that evening's ceremony, provided informative wine commentary throughout the night. Members were thrilled to have Bailli Provincial Tony Hirsh join them and serve as inducting officer. He was assisted by Bailli Ralph Daniel in induct- ing Chevaliers Ray Harrigill and Tom Parry and Dames de la Chaîne Monica Harrigill, Linda Hubbuch, and Sandee McPherson. In addition, Maître Restaurateur Steven O'Neill was elevated to vice conseiller culinaire, and Chevalier Billy Long received the Bronze Mondiale Medal of Honor. Several confrères joined the Mondiale. Vice Chargé de Missions Suman Das and Vice Chancelier-Argentier Marlin Rains each received Share the Chaîne pins. The bailliage extends its thanks and gratitude to Vice Conseiller Gastronomique Jennifer Schulmeier, who planned the extraordinary event.
