Spring Induction Gala BY DAVID W. FRANTZ, Vice Chargé de Presse AT THE INDIANAPOLIS Bailliage's spring induction gala on April 22, Echanson Provincial/Bailli Greg Wallis and Bailli Provincial Renee Wilmeth greeted confrères with flutes of Barone Pizzini Animante Brut N.V. The Country Club of Indianapolis, founded in 1891 as the city's first country club, was the host venue. Corporate Executive Chef Glenn Brown, CEC, AAC, aced the evening with his culi- nary wizardry. The black-tie event opened with an induction cer- emony of historic proportions. Echanson Provincial/Bailli Wallis assisted Bailli Provincial Wilmeth in inducting twelve individuals, bringing the bailliage to forty- six members strong. Three of the inductees are industry profes- sionals. In addition, Echanson Provincial/ Bailli Wallis presented Vice Echanson Glenn Balsamo with a Bronze Mondiale Medal of Honor. While Vice Conseiller Gastronomique Dennis Trinkle, Vice Chancelier-Argentier Jan Webber, Chevalier Tom Foster, and Chevalier Don Woodley were recognized for their member-recruitment efforts, they were not to be outdone by Echanson Provincial/Bailli Wallis, who brought in six new members! The festivities closed with appreciation expressed to Chef Brown and his fine staff and assistants for the delicious dinner, along with a special announcement that the 2019 Midwest Regional Chapitre will be hosted by the Indianapolis Bailliage.
