French Fare and Wine Auction BY LYNETTE SAVAGE, Bailli TULSA BAILLIAGE MEMBERS, dressed in black tie, gathered at the world-renowned Southern Hills Country Club on May 4 for an induc- tion gala. At the reception, they welcomed the four individuals who that night would become the chapter's newest confrères. Vice Chargée de Presse Honoraire Mary Anne Lewis delivered a tribute to Bailli Sue Gerkin and Vice Echanson Steve Gerkin for their twenty-plus years of service to the Chaîne. Bailli Gerkin was assisted by fellow officers in inducting Chevaliers Bob Kane and Scott Coulson and Dames de la Chaîne Kristin Kane and Janie Coulson. Officier Ping Hackl, Vice Conseiller Gastronomique Monica Williford, Vice Conseiller Culinaire Steve Bayles, and Bailli Lynette Savage were then elevated. Executive Chef Jonathan Moosmiller, CMC, and his team went above and beyond in delivering an exceptional dining experience. Examples of their efforts included specially ordering French ingredients and importing wines to pair with the cuisine. International opera vocalist Lindsey McKee and Lyndon Meyer, Tulsa Opera's principal pianist, serenaded the group—a lovely touch. Vice Echanson Gerkin and Officier Randy Webb held an auction of three member-donated wine lots. The auction raised $2,900 for the Chaîne Foundation.
