Oregon Redux BY TERRY MATHIS, Vice Echanson LACS ET DES Bois Mondiale members took a trip down memory lane at the home of Vice Chargé de Missions Fred Tresca and Dame de la Chaîne Debbie Tresca on April 28. The evening commemorated the group's 2016 trip to the Willamette Valley in Oregon. Vice Echanson Terry Mathis entertained and enlightened all with information about the wineries "visited" during the evening. The Trescas generously donated the wines from their cellar, enabling the event to be priced well below market value! The setting was just as spectacular as the Allison Inn & Spa— the host venue for the 2016 trip. However, instead of looking out at the rolling hills of wine country, attendees enjoyed views of Lake Woodlands from the patio and boat deck. The already-delightful agenda of sipping champagne and sampling appetizers while socializing with friends was enhanced by the marvelous sunset. Owner/Executive Chef Michael Carey of Master Chef Catering based his menu around the wines specially selected for the event. For those that went on the Oregon trip, the evening provided an opportu- nity to reminisce. And while the view might have been different on this night, the wine selections offered those who hadn't gone a chance to savor a taste of the Willamette Valley!
