Saturday began with the business meeting, chaired by Echanson Provincial/Atlanta Bailli Richard Smith. From there, attendees returned to the classroom for another wine-education session. Guillaume Boudet, an associate winemaker for Hyde de Villaine Wines, whose chardonnays and pinot noirs offer notes and flavors reminiscent of those found in Domaine de la Romanée-Conti wines, spoke about the highly acclaimed venture between Napa's Hyde fam- ily and Burgundy's de Villaine family, co-owners and co-directors of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. Seminar attendees had the privilege of tasting wines that would be served that evening at the Inn on Biltmore Estate. The gala dinner featured a spring-themed menu created by Chef de Cuisine Jacob Crvich to pair with five Hyde de Villaine wines. World-class cuisine and highly rated wines played no small part in accounting for the quality of the entire weekend. The success of the event required an extraordi- nary team effort.
