Induction Dinner at the Poinsett Club BY ANDREW MCDONALD, Vice Chargé de Presse THE GREENVILLE BAILLIAGE held its annual fall induction dinner on October 22. A lively group of confrères assembled at the historic Poinsett Club in downtown Greenville for an evening of cel- ebration and superb dining. The Poinsett Club is considered one of the finest private clubs in the country. A Platinum Club of America since 2003, it is also one of only thirty-five five-star private clubs in the United States. Bailli Provincial Tony Hirsh, with assistance from Bailli Coleman Shouse, presided over the induction ceremony at which Chevaliers John Creech, Robert Fallis, and Gordon Sherard were welcomed into the Greenville Bailliage. At the subsequent reception, attendees enjoyed elaborate culinary creations prepared in an open demonstration by Executive Chef Kerry McGill and his team. Diners were then treated to a spectacular six-course meal. The diverse menu demonstrated Chef McGill's extensive talent and experience. Vice Echanson Richard DeBondt thoughtfully presented the delightful wine pairings. Everyone enjoyed the festivities and showered praise upon the Poinsett Club team. The consensus was that this first Chaîne event orchestrated by Chef McGill was a grand success!
