A Hunting We Will Go BY RANDY SAVAGE, Vice Chargé de Presse THE TULSA BAILLIAGE held its twenty-eighth annual hunt dinner on November 12 at the extraordinary 624 Kitchen & Catering in downtown Tulsa. With its high ceilings, marble columns, and terrazzo floor accents, the venue is an example of one of Tulsa's world-famous art déco designs. Adding spice and spirit to the event, many of the fifty- plus attendees arrived in hunting, safari, or old English fox-hunt- ing attire. Of course, the highlight of the evening was the wild game pre- pared by Owner/Chef Justin Thompson. Each of the five courses was creative and tantaliz- ing, tempting the taste buds with an array of flavors. Perhaps the most unusual course was prosciutto- wrapped rabbit loin with Dijon carrot purée, pickled shallot, beech mushrooms, and basil pesto. Several Donatiello wines were featured and made for excellent pairings with the wild game dishes. The pace of the meal allowed diners to enjoy the food and wine to the fullest extent. At evening's end, to show the Tulsa Bailliage's appreciation for the out- standing cuisine and service, Vice Chancelier-Argentier Lynette Savage and Vice Chargé de Presse Randy Savage presented the chefs and staff with commemora- tive pins.
