Bluegrass BY GRAIG SMITH, Vice Chargé de Presse THE CINCINNATI BAILLIAGE'S annual holiday din- ner took place on December 17 at the prestigious Metropolitan Club in Covington, Kentucky. The venue is known for both its delicious cuisine and command- ing views of the Cincinnati skyline. The event was made possible by Vice Chargé de Presse Honoraire Dan Fay, who serves on the club's board of governors. Bailli George Elliott presented Vice Chargé de Presse Honoraire Fay with his officier commandeur pin. He was integral to the chapter's founding in 1981. Bailli Elliott then awarded a Bronze Star of Excellence to Vice Conseiller Gastronomique Honoraire Marilyn Harris, who is also a founding member of the Cincinnati Bailliage. A culinary legend in the Midwest, she has writ- ten four cookbooks and has hosted a radio show called "Cooking with Marilyn" for more than thirty years. The bestowing of this honor was met with a standing ovation. Vice Echanson Mary Horn and her wine commit- tee expertly chose the wines to accompany the stellar six-course meal. Attendees were full of praise for Vice Conseiller Gastronomique Chuck Hong, Bailli Elliott, Vice Echanson Horn, and the Metropolitan Club team for creating this satisfying, heartwarming holi- day event.
