Tiny lights adorn palm trees, storefronts, and Christmas trees. Upon entering the Ridgway Bar & Grill for their holiday din- ner on December 16, Naples Bailliage members were greeted by the sparkle of thousands of these lights. Owner/Executive Chef Tony Ridgway, who has owned restau- rants in Naples since 1971, is known as the patriarch of Naples restaurateurs. Champagne and hors d'oeuvres were served in the courtyard, lush with tropical flora. In the dining room, the lovely centerpieces were a mix of holiday greens, pinecones, and white orchids. Chef Ridgway uses many locally sourced ingre- dients in his menus, and for this dinner, he incorporated several, such as Pine Island crab. He also prefers all natural meats, evidenced in the entrée—a luscious Niman Ranch lamb duo. Since it was a holiday party, attendees were given gifts: velvet pouches embellished with the Chaîne crest for their ribbons. They departed into the balmy night feeling merry and nourished by wonderful food, wine, and holiday wishes from fellow confrères.
