Dîner des BY JOHN STANSELL, Connecticut Vice Chargé de Presse THE STATELY UNION League Café, located in a National Historic Landmark building in New Haven, Connecticut, was the setting for the Connecticut and Hartford bailliages' joint holiday induction dinner on December 6. Bailli Provincial Gabor Huszar presided over the inductions of six new members: Chevalier Richard Heffernan, Dame de la Chaîne Susan Mentelos, Chevalier Michael Pellegrino, and Dame de la Chaîne Andrea Shaw joined the Connecticut Bailliage, while Chevalier Michael Ciscar and Dame de la Chaîne Edesa Ciscar were inducted into the Hartford Chapter. In addition, Chevalier John Salling was inducted into the Mondiale. After a cham- pagne toast to the new confrères, the group of fifty-plus attendees moved to the dining room for the main event. Owner/Executive Chef/ Connecticut Maître Rôtisseur Jean-Pierre Vuillermet helmed the kitchen while diners savored his deli- cious creations under the care of attentive waitstaff. Connecticut Bailli Honoraire Jeffrey Hellman did his usual fine job of enlightening attendees about the eve- ning's wines. If two heads are better than one, then surely two bailliages are better than one for an evening of fine dining and camaraderie.
