Seventeenth Induction Gala and Dinner BY JOHN FLAMMANG, Vice Chargé de Presse THE BONITA BAILLIAGE'S seventeenth induction gala was held on February 15 at the Quail West Golf & Country Club in Naples. The club is located between the Gulf of Mexico and the Florida Everglades in a community with uncompromising architectural detailing, panoramic vistas, and beautifully manicured grounds. The black-tie event began with a champagne recep- tion in the Wine Room. Chambellan Provincial/Bailli Susan Vareschi then welcomed the group and introduced offici- ants Bailli Provincial Charles Radlauer and Foundation Chair Honoraire Shelly Margolis, who inducted eleven new members into the Chaîne and eleven confrères into the Mondiale. In addition, Vice Chargé de Presse John Flammang was elevated, and William Nunnelly received his officier commandeur pin. Executive Chef/Maître Rôtisseur William Vasseur and his team prepared a delicious feast. Among the highlights was the addition of Carlhaven Farm emu in the salad. Chef Vasseur spoke about the leanness of emu—the second largest bird in the world. At the end of the evening, the chef was gifted with a wine decanter, and staff members received special pins as mementos of the occasion.
