Celebrating 30 Years! BY KERRI-ANNE RECKORD Vice Chargée de Presse ON DECEMBER 5, the Jamaica Bailliage celebrated its thirtieth anniversary at the beautiful Couples Sans Souci Resort. The oldest and largest chapter in the Caribbean/Atlantic Islands Region, the Jamaica Bailliage is proud to claim the largest number of professional members in the region as well as three confrères who are officiers commandeurs. Bailli Derek Elder extended a warm welcome to presiding officer Chancelier National Heinz Hofmann and to Bailli Provincial Ronald Overend and Chargée de Presse Provincial/Nassau Bailli Isabella Overend. The chapter welcomed nine new members and seven Mondiale mem- bers. In addition, Officier Sharon Lake, Officier Virginia O'Neil, Officier Maître Rôtisseur Colin Hylton, Officier Chef Rôtisseur Michael Dannecker, Officier Chef Rôtisseur Giorgio Rusconi, Officier Maître Restaurateur Eva Myers, and Maître Hôtelier Antoinette Chen were elevated, and Officier Chef Rôtisseur Robert Hoehener received a Bronze Star of Excellence. Chambellan Provincial Honoraire/Bailli Honoraire Kermit Tucker and Officier Maître de Table Restaurateur Beverley Levy both received their officier commandeur pins. General Manager/Vice Conseiller Culinaire Pierre Battaglia and his team created a fantastic menu featuring notable dishes from the chapter's thirty-year his- tory. After dinner, awards of merit were presented to Vice Conseiller Culinaire Battaglia and his fellow professionals to convey the chapter's appreciation for such an outstanding commemora- tive event.
