Gastro-Magical Night at Stoneacre BY ERIN BENEVIDES, Vice Chargée de Presse ON THE SUNNY afternoon of March 13, Rhode Island Bailliage members strolled down lower Thames Street in Newport, Rhode Island, excited to be out in the beauti- ful spring weather and eager to enjoy a delicious dinner at Stoneacre Pantry! Named after a Newport estate designed by preeminent architect Frederick Law Olmsted, Stoneacre Pantry opened in 2013. Sharing a passion for farmers' markets, pas- tis, and the wines of Burgundy, co-owners General Manager David Crowell and Director of Operations Christopher Bender teamed up to realize their dream. Stoneacre Pantry prides itself on featur- ing fish from local waters and meat from nearby farms that raise animals humanely. The venue's eclectic, sophisticated wine list highlights small French wine producers, and other delicious cocktails use fresh, house-made elements. Made with fresh ginger, the ginger ale was a tantalizing treat for diners' taste buds! The culinary masterminds and their talented team prepared a parade of scrumptious dishes, all impecca- bly paired with superb wines.
