Afternoon BY NANCY RADLAUER, Bailli THE MIAMI BAILLIAGE'S ever-popular cruise ship lun- cheons always sell out—which is hardly surprising given that they offer a delightful escape without ever leaving the port! On December 13, Miami confrères spent a heavenly afternoon aboard the Celebrity Eclipse . This 2,800-passenger ship is recognized for its signature service, qual- ity dining, and unique outdoor glassblowing studio and Lawn Club, where, among other activities, golf can be played on real grass. Once aboard the ship, attendees were escorted to the Sky Observation Lounge for champagne and pass-arounds. Lunch was served a few decks lower in the Tuscan Grille; Italian specialties were enjoyed with gen- erously poured wines. Bailli Nancy Radlauer introduced three members visit- ing from the Helsinki Bailliage: Vice Chargée de Presse Stana Porvali, Chevalier Juha Pyykola, and Dame de la Chaîne Paula Pyykola. She then acknowledged the culinary staff and cap- tain with certificates of appreciation. In the spirit of travel, Bailli Radlauer gifted attendees with commemorative Chaîne luggage tags. By the end of the afternoon, everyone wished they could remain aboard the Celebrity Eclipse to explore its ame- nities further and to see where it might take them.
