The stakes were high as the winner would go on to represent the United States at the International Young Sommeliers Competition in Liechtenstein. Martin Sheehan- Stross prevailed, with Morgan Harris placing second, and Steven Gullo taking third. Mary Gorman-McAdams, MW, presented Martin with an educational trip to the Bordeaux region, donated by the Conseil Interprofessionnel du Vin de Bordeaux (CIVB). Moët & Chandon also gave the winner six cases of Grand Vintage 2006. The other competitors received generous champagne gifts as well, presented by Moët & Chandon Communications Executive Director Paige Pedersen.
