A Little Southern Flair EMMA RUTH BRITTAIN, Vice Chargée de Presse ON SEPTEMBER 20, 2015, Myrtle Beach Bailliage members enjoyed a spectacular sunset dinner overlooking Murrells Inlet and Drunken Jack Island. The dinner was coordinated and prepared by Inlet Affairs Banquet & Catering and Drunken Jack's Restaurant and Lounge. Chevalier Clay Brittain and Vice Chargée de Presse Emma Ruth Brittain hosted the event. Prior to dinner, attendees sampled an array of classic Southern delicacies, including fried green tomatoes and beer-battered chicken bog balls. The atmosphere was relaxed and convivial as confrères dined on traditional Frogmore stew featuring large succulent shrimp, potatoes, corn on the cob, and kielbasa. The crowded oyster table offered both oysters on the half shell and oysters Rockefeller. Premier wines served during the meal included both Old World and New World offerings, and a live band entertained with jazz and contempo- rary selections. Capping an already wonderful eve- ning was the arrival of a bald eagle that perched on the roof watching attendees and eagerly waiting for its own opportu- nity to sample the delicious fare.
